When the owner decided it was time to list his boat for sale, because of how pleased he was with the original transaction, he came back to Intrinsic Yacht & Ship to get it sold.
We were contacted by a gentleman in the UK who had been looking at the San Juan to keep at his home in the Caribbean. He had looked at a few San Juans that were available on the market, and he ultimately set his sights on the San Juan 40 Flybridge. He flew over and we went through the boat with him. After seeing the boat in person, his search was over.
We began the process of submitting a purchase offer, and we were ultimately able to strike a deal between the seller and buyer. This wasn’t a quick and easy deal, as the offer and asking price were not close at all. It took a lot of negotiating and work to get the two to agree on a final price, but ultimately everyone was happy – the seller because his boat was sold, and the buyer because he had his perfect boat.
After completing the settlement, our service department started on a few upgrades that the new owner wanted to make the San Juan perfectly suited for boating in the Caribbean. Once everything was complete, we worked with the shipping company to get the boat delivered to the port in Philadelphia to be loaded on a ship for transport to her new home.
Today you will find this San Juan 40 Flybridge in the Caribbean being used by the new owner, his children and grandchildren. We’re looking forward to getting updates on the family’s adventures – and we’re not-so-secretly hoping for an invite to the warm blue waters of the Caribbean!
