Chris was born and raised around the Chesapeake, spending extended periods of time boating with his family – on sail boats with his parents and on power boats with his grandfather. After graduating from college, Chris began what was supposed to be just a summer job selling boats, but what was intended to be a fun summer job turned into much more. He threw himself into the industry learning everything he could about every type of boat.

In 2001, Chris opened Intrinsic Yacht & Ship. He began working with a select group of clients, helping them buy and sell their boats many times over. He eventually expanded his office and sales staff and began offering brokerage on a larger scale.

Since that time, Intrinsic Yacht & Ship has become the exclusive local dealer of such fine boat lines as Ocean Yacht, Albemarle Boats, Jupiter Marine and Bonadeo Boatworks. By combining the quality and appeal of these new boat lines with a continued emphasis on marketing quality pre-owned yachts and developing personal relationships with our buyers and sellers, Intrinsic has flourished in a difficult market and continued to exceed previous years’ sales records.

Today boating remains Chris’s favorite pastime, and sportfishing has become his passion. He has participated in countless fishing tournaments around the mid-Atlantic region with tremendous results. With extensive knowledge and experience in and around boats dating back to his child hood, building highly customized company demo boats and countless hours spent on and around boats, Chris is an excellent choice when it comes to finding the right boat for his buyers. He also excels at helping his sellers effectively market and sell their boats.

Ian grew up with a true passion for being on the water.  He was raised on the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland and spent majority of his time sailing, fishing, and cruising with his family on the Chesapeake Bay.  Ian played Lacrosse both in high school at Severn School and in college at Randolph Macon College in Virginia.

After graduating from college Ian pursued his passion for sailing and worked as a professional sailor.  Having extensive inshore and offshore racing and sailing experience at the highest level of yacht racing Ian did his first America’s Cup in 2003 with Team Dennis Conner onboard Stars and Stripes.  Soon after that Ian competed with BMW Oracle Racing for the 2007 America’s Cup.

After participating in winning every major US Big Boat regatta and many international sailing competitions, as well as multiple World Championships, Ian turned towards another one of his passions.  Over the past several years Coastal and Sport fishing have been a major focus.  Whether light tackle fishing for Rockfish on the Chesapeake Bay or fishing the offshore waters of Key West, Ian can be found trying to learn as many ways possible to catch fish.

Most importantly, Ian loves spending time with his three young daughters Lyla, Gigi, and Mila, as well as his wonderful wife Beth, who all enjoy being on the water.   This is why he is excited to join Intrinsic Yacht and Ship allowing him to spend more time at home in Annapolis while still being involved in the marine industry.  Ian is looking forward to joining the Intrinsic team which will allow him to establish new relationships with clients and utilize his experience to assist them in finding their dream boat!

Born and raised in Lancaster County, Scott started boating and fishing with his family on the Northern Chesapeake Bay and fishing in Ocean City, Maryland. In the early 90’s he fell in love with offshore fishing and started mating on a 38 foot sport fishing boat. He spent the spring and fall on the Chesapeake Bay and the summers in Ocean City, Maryland.

From 1992 until 1995, he freelanced on several different private and charter boats in Ocean City. Scott also worked in the custom home building field during this time. In 1997 he became a full time captain on a 53 foot private fishing boat that traveled up and down the East Coast and the Caribbean.

He took a job in 2001 on a 140 motor yacht that divided it’s time between the East Coast, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. At that time, he obtained his STCW-95 certification, as well as SCUBA certification. In 2002, Scott relocated to Ft Pierce, Florida and took a job as a captain on a 57-foot sport fish boat that also fished in the Caribbean and Central America. He also completed his 100 Ton Master’s Licenses through Sea School.

After eight years of traveling thousands of miles with different boats, he decided it was time to put down some roots. He once again moved back to Ocean City, started his own company, Atlantic Marine Detailing, began a successful career in Yacht Sales, and recently joined the Intrinsic Sales Team.

Scott has two great sons with his wife Missy and is still a freelance captain that loves Offshore fishing.

Born in Miami, Andrew is a true South Florida native. The salt water and boating has run through his veins since birth. Leaving Florida for 4 years to attend Elon University, he earned a degree in Business and a minor in Spanish, but the ocean quickly called him back.

Andrew has spent a vast amount of time in the waters of Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribean. He is a licensed Captain and has captained vessels ranging  from Sportfish boats to luxury motor yachts. While captaining boats provides lessons, the opportunity to be on different types of boats has given Andrew the knowledge to really learn the different types of boats he is on, thereby expanding his knowledge base on engineering and the components which make up these vessels.

Andrew has spent hours on different boat restoration projects and is furthering his knowledge of the ocean and boating by obtaining his 200+ ton captain license.

When he is not working, Andrew is spending his time fishing, freediving and spearfishing.  It is safe to say, many aspects of Andrews life pertain to the ocean and the boating lifestyle; It is not only a career but a passion.

Andrews vibrant and charismatic attitude toward the boating industry will not only get the people around him excited about being on the water, but will help them really understand what it is to live the “salt life”.

Jackie’s favorite part of her job is the relationships she has made with our clients, most notably while assisting buyers and sellers through the settlement process. Her focus is always on the satisfaction of our customers, whether it be with our service department taking care of every detail of servicing or maintaining their boats or through the sales process.
